What Happen

Palio dei Rioni in Piazzale Garibaldi on the third sunday of June. It is one of the most important event of the year in Castiglion Fiorentino. Citizen and tourists join together during the propitiatory week before the Palio. It is a racehorse in a circular pathway, in tribute to the Holy Image of Madonna delle Grazie del Rivaio.

“Castiglion Fiorentino mette la quarta” takes place every last sunday of the month. It’s a very special event, eagerly awaited for the community and people from other Italian regions. The exchange of old and used things, the folklore, and typical wine and food, characterize the event. It’s such as a journey to live in shopping, culture and gastronomy.

Sagra della Pizza in La Nave on the last weekend of June and the first week of July. Back again one of the most appreciate festival in this zone, where to eat a fabulous pizza or the famous Tuscan steak, drinking local wine.

Archaeological week in Castiglion Fiorentino on the first week of July. They offer to you to visit the historical centre and the museum in the night. It will be possible also to visit  the Cassero.

I giorni di Bacco  takes place in the town centre and on the two last weekends of October. It is organized by Terziere Porta Fiorentina and typical food is exposed.

Sagra della ranocchia takes place at the little village called Brolio between the last weekend of July and the first of August. The main dish is frog but it is also possible to eat meal and drink wine.
