Solidarty Tea: the appointment for Sunday, December 15 This is the first event of the project “Face to Faith”.


The Comprehensive School “City of Castiglion Fiorentino” is the protagonist for some years already of the project “FACE TO FAITH”, which aims to promotion of intercultural dialogue among peoples around the world.

The project, which is headed by the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, takes students from every continent, religions and cultures relate to one another through digital technology, to meet in a spirit of openness aware that collaborate and share ideas, respect for every identity, it can really make a difference.

The project is divided into various phases of work which will be appropriately documented and placed on the platform on the international circuit. This program is fact followed by 19 countries: Australia, Canada, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Mexico, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Kosovo, Ukraine and USA.

In our town of Castiglion Fiorentino, the first event of the project will take place on Sunday, December 15th at the Palestra Scolopi Course in Italy and is the “SolidaryTea.”

It starts at 10:00 with the bake sale and a flea market in collaboration with the local Caritas and UNICEF in the Gym Scolopi, at 16.00 in the Town Square there will be a performance by the History Group of flag-waving while in Castiglion Fiorentino Palestra  will continue the market and we might warm up with a cup of fragrant “SolidaryTea.”

To the creation and care of this event, which involves the students and teachers of the Secondary School of First Instance, has contributed in an important way and generous, the Parents Committee of the Comprehensive.

The next phases of the project they will see a December 18 conference that will be held the assembly room of the City of Castiglion Fiorentino, for a discussion and debate on topics relating to the protection of human rights. On this occasion there will be speakers and ministerial inspectors. The third step, at a date yet to be determined, will feature the children of the third class that will hold an video conference with a class of a school in a distant part of the world.
