“Think global, act local” is the title of the second literary competition organized by “Hawkwood”.

Continues at full speed the organizers of the 2nd Literary Contest “Hawkwood”, an exhibition dedicated to the students of high schools in the Val di Chiana Arezzo and all the citizens not professional writers, an exhibition organized by the Cultural Club-liberal “Hawkwood”. The competition, a free participation, is giving away two trips to Israel and six kilos of books offered by Feltrinelli Point Arezzo and by Mondadori. The competitors will have to write a paper (freely choosing between prose or poetry) starting from the key theme “think global, act local”, a concept highly topical and of great interest in the era of globalization, a concept which the Club Hawkwood jurors and all citizens will deepen in the course of a public debate on the sidelines of the award ceremony of the competition, scheduled for mid-May, to be attended as guests the Israeli ambassador in Italy Naor Gilon and Renzo Guolo, Professor of Sociology at ‘University of Padua. To meet the needs of competitors, the club has extended the deadline sending the works until Saturday, April 20. Recall that the applicants must submit a paper no longer than 3,600 characters (with spaces) to the email address circolo.lacuto @ gmail.com, with the subject “think global, act local”, complete with all data and – the minor – the declaration of release use of the text. As already mentioned, the competitors will be divided into two categories (students and writers in progress) and the text can be in the form of poetry, essay, theme or newspaper article.
