Just a few more days, until September 16, to visit the exhibition “Rossano Naldi, artist of the twentieth century”, in full swing at the Pinacoteca Comunale (Chiesa di Sant’Angelo to the Cassero) of Castiglion Fiorentino. The exhibition by the Castiglione was inaugurated on 7 August, the day on which he was also named the splendid “overlooking” with a view towards the valley of Chio in front of the Church of Jesus, from now “Belvedere Rossano Naldi.” With a simple ceremony, but touching and meaningful, the Councillor for Culture Guido Albucci has unveiled the plaque affixed to the wall side of Santa Chiara, thanking those present and noting that “with the title of the Belvedere, the community will celebrate one of its castiglionese most illustrious sons and appreciated, by naming an angle so impressive from which you can admire a magnificent panorama particularly dear to him and exhibition, the centenary of his birth, is emerging as the most important cultural event of the summer castiglionese closely, that, given the quality of the exhibits, will attract many tourists and visitors”. The exhibition, which opens with a remembrance of Naldi a signature of his poet Mario Luzi, is studied in detail and collects a series of significant works signed by this artist of the 900, which also had the prestige of participating in the Venice Biennale, as well as to exhibit his work took the most important European galleries. The exhibition catalog reproduces more than ninety works of different subject from landscapes, portraits and caricatures, made between 1930 and 1993. The publication, introduced by criticism of Luigi Zangheri, Antonino Caleca, Carlo Sisi and Attilio Brilli, followed by numerous papers on various occasions dedicatigli by the poet Mario Luzi, is closed by a large bio-bibliography by Margherita Melani. The exhibition “Rossano Naldi, artist of the twentieth century,” will be open for visits up to 16 September at the Municipal Art Gallery (Church of Sant’Angelo in Cassero) of Castiglion Fiorentino. Opening of the exhibition: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9:30 to 12:30 Tuesday and Thursday at 16 -18.30
